In a 3D BIM model, when there is 4th dimension of construction productivity (time) and 5th dimension of cost code assigned as project parameters, it changes a 3D model to 5D BIM model. In a 5D BIM model, when a new project parameter assigned according to “As-Built” information, this changes 5D BIM model to 6D BIM model.
